INA Rocker Arm
Keeps valve clearance constant
Working together with the hydraulic insert elements for valve-lash compensation, the rocker arms and finger followers from INA ensure permanently-constant valve clearance. This avoids combustion energy loss or scorching of the valve seat.
That’s why state-of-the-art INA rocker arms use cam rollers with needle bearings. And at the other end of the rocker arm is a hydraulic valve-clearance compensation element, like an insert element or an adjusting screw, for mechanical valve-clearance adjustment. This part of the rocker arm actuates the intake and exhaust valves.
We recommend replacing rocker arms and finger followers together with all compensation elements due to the many peripheral components that work with them.
Note – in rocker-arm valve trains, the camshaft stroke is transmitted to the lever either by means of sliding contact or by a roller (roller-type rocker arm).
